The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Cambridge Police Department's official public log for the period September 30 - October 2, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).


Wednesday, September 30, 5:00 a.m. — Traffic Stop: A Boston resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license following a traffic stop on Massachusetts Avenue.

Wednesday, September 30, 7:58 a.m. — Larceny: A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Harvard Street.

Wednesday, September 30, 9:19 a.m. — Identity Fraud: A victim on Massachusetts Avenue reported $701 in fraudulent bank charges.

Wednesday, September 30, 10:59 a.m. — Assault: A victim on Harvard Street near Inman Street reported an unknown individual slapped them in an in-progress assault.

Wednesday, September 30, 1:42 p.m. — Breaking Into a Vehicle: A Massachusetts Avenue resident reported their parked vehicle was broken into and items valued at $245 were stolen.

Wednesday, September 30, 2:41 p.m. — Arrest: An employee of a Massachusetts Avenue business reported a suspect stole $174 of merchandise. Hezekiah Ducan, 63, of Boston, was charged with shoplifting by asportation, third offense.

Wednesday, September 30, 2:48 p.m. — Hit and Run: A vehicle parked near Lawn Street and Oxford Avenue was struck, causing damage.

Wednesday, September 30, 3:13 p.m. — Disturbance: Police responded to a Massachusetts Avenue business for a report of an unwanted person refusing to pay a tab; the individual alleged they were kicked by a staff member.

Wednesday, September 30, 3:26 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A past crash involving personal injury and property damage was reported near Second and Spring streets.

Wednesday, September 30, 4:45 p.m. — Arrest: An individual was taken into custody on Massachusetts Avenue. Jerome Hairston, 57, of Worcester, was charged with shoplifting by asportation and arrested on an outstanding warrant from Suffolk Superior Court.

Wednesday, September 30, 5:14 p.m. — Arrest: An altercation occurred at a bus stop near Massachusetts Avenue and Pearl Street. Cheyenne Siu-Lin Huang, 28, of Millis, was charged with disorderly conduct and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Wednesday, September 30, 6:08 p.m. — Attempted Larceny: A victim on Pearl Street reported an unknown individual attempted to steal their computer.

Wednesday, September 30, 6:37 p.m. — Assault: A victim on Walden Square Road reported being assaulted by a group of individuals.

Wednesday, September 30, 7:03 p.m. — Hit and Run: A past crash with personal injury was reported near Cedar and Rice streets.

Wednesday, September 30, 7:23 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A crash involving a bicyclist on Massachusetts Avenue resulted in minor injuries.

Wednesday, September 30, 7:48 p.m. — Assault: A past assault was reported at a Massachusetts Avenue business.

Thursday, October 1, 7:32 a.m. — Traffic Stop: An Allston resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of unregistered motor vehicle, registration not in possession, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, following a stop on Massachusetts Avenue.

Thursday, October 1, 8:20 a.m. — Traffic Stop: A Saugus resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of operating an uninsured motor vehicle following a stop near Broadway and Hampshire Street.

Thursday, October 1, 9:05 a.m. — Larceny: A Temple Street resident reported Halloween decorations stolen from their residence lobby.

Thursday, October 1, 9:54 a.m. — Identity Fraud: A victim on Massachusetts Avenue reported being scammed out of $140 through a job listing website.

Thursday, October 1, 10:31 a.m. — Fraud: A victim on Sixth Street reported an individual posing as a lawyer attempted to scam them out of $2,500.

Thursday, October 1, 10:35 a.m. — Larceny: An employee at a Winthrop Street business reported a tip jar was stolen.

Thursday, October 1, 11:52 a.m. — Larceny: A cellphone was reported stolen from a vehicle on Massachusetts Avenue.

Thursday, October 1, 11:54 a.m. — Larceny: A Pleasant Street resident reported their vehicle's catalytic converter stolen while parked in front of their residence.

Thursday, October 1, 12:45 p.m. — Vandalism: Defaced property was reported on Franklin Street.

Thursday, October 1, 12:50 p.m. — Larceny: A victim near Franklin Street reported a food delivery stolen from their front porch.

Thursday, October 1, 1:06 p.m. — Breaking and Entering: A victim on Harvard Street reported a known individual broke into their apartment and damaged furniture and clothing.

Thursday, October 1, 1:38 p.m. — Hit and Run: A vehicle was struck in traffic near Church Street and Massachusetts Avenue; no injuries reported.

Thursday, October 1, 2:27 p.m. — Hit and Run: A vehicle parked on Binney Street was struck, causing damage.

Thursday, October 1, 2:30 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A truck struck a sprinkler inside a garage on Concord Turnpike, causing minor flooding.

Thursday, October 1, 2:54 p.m. — Assault: A victim on Massachusetts Avenue reported being struck in the left eye by another individual.

Thursday, October 1, 3:04 p.m. — Larceny: Belongings left unattended in a park near Garden and Waterhouse streets were reported stolen.

Thursday, October 1, 4:26 p.m. — Arrest: John Yuskus, 61, of Cambridge, was arrested on Green Street on a warrant out of Cambridge District Court.

Thursday, October 1, 5:24 p.m. — Arrest: Henry Sun, 28, unhoused, was arrested on Cambridge Street on two warrants out of Leominster District Court.

Thursday, October 1, 5:32 p.m. — Larceny: A Massachusetts Avenue resident reported a package containing $109.65 in merchandise stolen from their residence lobby.

Thursday, October 1, 5:44 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A vehicle was struck by another vehicle near Brattle and Sparks streets; no injuries reported.

Thursday, October 1, 6:12 p.m. — Disturbance: An unknown individual was reported yelling at staff at a Massachusetts Avenue business.

Thursday, October 1, 6:48 p.m. — Summons: A Boston resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a larceny charge following a disturbance on Massachusetts Avenue.

Thursday, October 1, 7:29 p.m. — Larceny: A victim at Central Square reported their bag was taken and returned with $80 missing from their wallet.

Thursday, October 1, 9:40 p.m. — Arrest: Brett White, 38, of Dorchester, was arrested on Franklin Street on an active warrant out of Dorchester District Court.

Thursday, October 1, 9:42 p.m. — Credit Card Fraud: A victim on Mt. Auburn Street reported several unauthorized bank transactions.

Thursday, October 1, 10:53 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of a JFK Street business reported a suspect stole $100 of merchandise and fled before officers arrived.

Friday, October 2, 4:21 a.m. — Arrest: Montee Cosby, 30, of Chicago, was arrested on Harvard Street and charged with trespassing, shoplifting, and defacing property.

Friday, October 2, 8:00 a.m. — Property Damage: A truck struck and damaged a building's scaffolding on Rogers Street.

Friday, October 2, 8:15 a.m. — Arrest: Robert Mitchell, 35, of Cambridge, was arrested on Wendell Street on two active warrants out of Cambridge and Malden District Courts.

Friday, October 2, 8:19 a.m. — Traffic Stop: A Cambridge resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of operating with a suspended license following a stop on Massachusetts Avenue.

Friday, October 2, 10:53 a.m. — Arrest: Paul White, 60, of Boston, was arrested on Pleasant Street on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon and an active warrant out of Cambridge District Court.

Friday, October 2, 11:19 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A past crash involving a cyclist on Massachusetts Avenue resulted in minor injuries.

Friday, October 2, 11:32 a.m. — Larceny: A Hancock Street resident reported a package containing $300 in merchandise stolen from the front of their residence.

Friday, October 2, 11:38 a.m. — Traffic Stop: A Boston resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of operating with a suspended license following a stop near Allen Street and Massachusetts Avenue.

Friday, October 2, 11:59 a.m. — Hit and Run: A vehicle parked on Pearl Street was struck, causing damage.

Friday, October 2, 12:17 p.m. — Disturbance: An argument broke out near Fulkerson and Rogers streets after an unknown individual was reported yelling obscenities.

Friday, October 2, 1:57 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of a Massachusetts Avenue business reported a suspect stole $429.92 of merchandise and fled before officers arrived.

Friday, October 2, 2:43 p.m. — Larceny: A Cambridge resident reported a bicycle valued at $1,433 stolen from outside their residence on Putnam Avenue.

Friday, October 2, 3:10 p.m. — Arrest: Zachary N'guia, 34, of Cambridge, was arrested near Berkshire and York streets on an extraditable warrant out of Sanford, Maine.

Friday, October 2, 3:31 p.m. — Assault: A victim on Massachusetts Avenue reported being slapped by a known person during an argument over money.

Friday, October 2, 3:31 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A crash involving a bicyclist near Massachusetts Avenue and Newport Road resulted in minor injuries; the vehicle operator was cited.

Friday, October 2, 4:40 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Incident: A reporting party on Bishop Allen Drive believed a vehicle struck their dog; the dog was examined by a veterinarian and was not injured.

Friday, October 2, 4:52 p.m. — Breaking and Entering: A past break-in was reported on Fairmount Street; nothing is believed to have been stolen.

Friday, October 2, 5:45 p.m. — Vandalism: A victim on Holden Street reported their vehicle's mirror was broken.

Friday, October 2, 6:26 p.m. — Larceny: A Sherman Street resident reported a bicycle valued at $500 stolen from their residence courtyard.

Friday, October 2, 8:21 p.m. — Hit and Run: A vehicle parked near Massachusetts Avenue and Meacham Road was struck, causing damage.
