The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Cambridge Police Department's official public log for the period March 2–April 28, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).


Monday, March 2, 6:14 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on the 100 block of Oxford Street; the driver fled.

Monday, March 2, 6:25 p.m.Hit and Run: A vehicle stopped in traffic was struck on Cambridge Street; the driver fled.

Monday, March 2, 10:07 p.m.Arrest: An active warrant out of Cambridge District Court led to an arrest on Alewife Brook Parkway. Amanda Harnois, 35, unhoused, of Cambridge, was charged with the underlying warrant offense.

Tuesday, March 3, 9:12 a.m.Arrest: At a Prospect Street business, an individual was reported walking the aisles yelling and deliberately knocking merchandise off shelves, causing damage. Cynthia Sisco, 72, unhoused, was charged with Defacing Property.

Tuesday, March 3, 9:51 a.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Sacramento Street; the driver fled.

Tuesday, March 3, 10:29 a.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Concord Avenue; the driver fled.

Tuesday, March 3, 10:38 a.m.Trespassing: A known suspect previously trespassed from a Harvard Square business for shoplifting was reported back inside the store on Massachusetts Avenue.

Tuesday, March 3, 11:13 a.m.Package Theft: A package valued at approximately $75–$100 was stolen from the front of a Cambridge Street residence.

Tuesday, March 3, 11:19 a.m.Shoplifting: An unknown suspect stole merchandise from an Alewife Brook Parkway business and fled before officers arrived.

Tuesday, March 3, 11:43 a.m.Arrest: Four active warrants out of Boston and Cambridge District Courts led to an arrest on Churchill Avenue. Ishmael Norelus, 21, of Somerville, was charged with the underlying warrant offenses.

Tuesday, March 3, 12:24 p.m.Arrest: At a North Cambridge business on Massachusetts Avenue, an employee reported that a customer threw a potted plant at them; no injuries were reported. Amalia Mercedes, 22, of Cambridge, was charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Tuesday, March 3, 1:44 p.m.Motor Vehicle Crash: A shuttle bus and a passenger vehicle collided near the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Amherst Street; no injuries were reported. The vehicle operator will be cited.

Tuesday, March 3, 3:03 p.m.Package Theft: A package valued at approximately $90 was stolen from the front of a Western Avenue residence.

Tuesday, March 3, 3:30 p.m.Malicious Damage to Motor Vehicle: A Cambridge resident reported the passenger-side rear quarter panel of their vehicle had been damaged on Lawn Street.

Tuesday, March 3, 4:07 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Rindge Avenue; the driver fled.

Tuesday, March 3, 4:46 p.m.Motor Vehicle Theft: A resident's car was stolen while parked on Allston Street. The vehicle owner is from Winchester.

Tuesday, March 3, 5:09 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Otis Street; the driver fled.

Tuesday, March 3, 5:14 p.m.Motor Vehicle / Unlicensed Operation: A motor vehicle crash at Francis Avenue and Kirkland Street revealed one driver was unlicensed. An Everett resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

Tuesday, March 3, 5:18 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck near Hawthorne Street and Mt. Auburn Street; the driver fled.

Tuesday, March 3, 5:45 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck near Concord Avenue and Smith Place; the driver fled.

Tuesday, March 3, 6:38 p.m.Breaking and Entering to Motor Vehicle: A vehicle parked in a lot on Regent Street was broken into; items valued at approximately $20 were stolen.

Tuesday, March 3, 6:58 p.m.Bicycle Theft: A bicycle was stolen from an employee's workplace on Third Street.

Tuesday, March 3, 7:07 p.m.Threats: A Frances Place resident reported being threatened by an unknown person based on their political beliefs.

Tuesday, March 3, 7:50 p.m.Attempted Shoplifting: Two suspects at a Cambridgeside Place business attempted to conceal multiple clothing items in a bag; the theft-detection system was allegedly tampered with.

Tuesday, March 3, 11:26 p.m.Arrest: At a Norfolk Street building, a victim reported being threatened with a knife, subjected to statements targeting their sexual orientation, and having their property damaged. John Laing, 60, of Cambridge, was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Destruction of Property, and a Civil Rights Violation.

Tuesday, March 3, 11:29 p.m.Larceny from Building: A motorized scooter valued at $338 was stolen from a communal storage area of an Oxford Street building.

Wednesday, March 4, 6:23 a.m.Arrest: A warrant out of Dedham District Court led to an arrest on Massachusetts Avenue. Joseph Leary, 63, of Cambridge, was charged with the underlying warrant offense.

Wednesday, March 4, 7:45 a.m.Malicious Destruction of Property: Multiple portable toilets and signage at the Fresh Pond Reservation on Fresh Pond Parkway were defaced with graffiti.

Wednesday, March 4, 8:27 a.m.Shoplifting: An unknown suspect stole approximately $25–$30 of merchandise from a Massachusetts Avenue business and fled.

Wednesday, March 4, 10:59 a.m.Recovered Stolen Property: Police took possession of an abandoned bicycle at the corner of Avon Street and Linnaean Street.

Wednesday, March 4, 9:28 a.m.Larceny: A Bedford resident reported a cell phone and identification card lost or stolen at a Cambridgeside Place business.

Wednesday, March 4, 10:59 a.m.Bicycle Theft: A bicycle valued at approximately $1,800 was stolen from a street pole on Lambert Street.

Wednesday, March 4, 11:07 a.m.Shoplifting: An unknown suspect stole approximately $300 of merchandise from a Massachusetts Avenue business and fled.

Wednesday, March 4, 11:17 a.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole approximately $80–$90 of merchandise from a Harvard Square business on JFK Street and fled.

Wednesday, March 4, 2:57 p.m.Shoplifting: An unknown suspect stole approximately $227 of merchandise from a Central Square business on Massachusetts Avenue and fled.

Wednesday, March 4, 4:14 p.m.Larceny: An unknown suspect stole approximately $1,250 of merchandise from a Cambridgepark Drive business and fled.

Wednesday, March 4, 4:46 p.m.Larceny: A resident reported their stolen earphones, valued at approximately $300, were "pinging" to a location at Roosevelt Towers.

Wednesday, March 4, 4:58 p.m.Hit and Run: A large truck sideswiped a parked motor vehicle at the intersection of Putnam Avenue and Waverly Street and fled.

Wednesday, March 4, 8:28 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck at Broadway and Trowbridge Street; the driver fled.

Wednesday, March 4, 8:28 p.m.Hit and Run / Personal Injury: A person was struck on the right side of their body by a vehicle at Oxford Street and Prentiss Street; the driver fled. Injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.

Wednesday, March 4, 11:21 p.m.Bicycle Theft: An electric bike valued at approximately $1,200 was stolen from a bike rack near Massachusetts Avenue and Churchill Avenue. The bike owner is from Somerville.

Thursday, March 5, 12:22 a.m.Threats / Firearm: A Centre Street resident reported their neighbor had made multiple verbal threats to shoot them with a firearm.

Thursday, March 5, 1:00 a.m.Motor Vehicle / OUI: A vehicle was stopped for driving the wrong way on Pleasant Street near Massachusetts Avenue. A Dorchester resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of Improper Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Open Container of Alcohol, and Operating with a Suspended/Revoked License.

Thursday, March 5, 7:43 a.m.Hit and Run: A vehicle was struck in traffic on Alewife Brook Parkway; the driver fled. No injuries were reported.

Thursday, March 5, 8:56 a.m.Construction Equipment Theft: An unknown suspect stole $13,625 in tools and construction equipment from a Broadway construction site.

Thursday, March 5, 9:21 a.m.Identity Fraud / Larceny: An unknown person used a Highland Avenue resident's personal information for multiple unauthorized transactions totaling $1,077.

Thursday, March 5, 10:30 a.m.Malicious Destruction of Property: An unknown suspect slashed two tires on a vehicle parked on Charles Street overnight.

Thursday, March 5, 11:37 a.m.Shoplifting: An unknown suspect stole approximately $20 of items from an Alewife Brook Parkway business and fled.

Thursday, March 5, 12:01 p.m.Shoplifting: A Boston resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of Shoplifting by Asportation after stealing $229.17 of merchandise from a Massachusetts Avenue business.

Thursday, March 5, 12:51 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Loomis Street; the driver fled.

Thursday, March 5, 1:15 p.m.Motor Vehicle / Unregistered: A Cambridge resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle on a public roadway; the violation was discovered when the vehicle was reported blocking Bigelow Street.

Thursday, March 5, 1:22 p.m.Larceny: A baby stroller was stolen from the front of a Springfield Street residence.

Thursday, March 5, 2:46 p.m.Arrest: At a Central Square business on Massachusetts Avenue, an employee reported $24 of merchandise had been stolen. An active warrant out of Cambridge District Court was also discovered. Basel Zakkari, 62, of Cambridge, was charged with Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise and the underlying warrant offense.

Thursday, March 5, 2:52 p.m.Hit and Run / Personal Injury: A vehicle was struck in traffic at Kinnaird Street and River Street; the driver fled. One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Thursday, March 5, 3:06 p.m.Breaking and Entering to Motor Vehicle: A Scituate resident's vehicle was broken into and damaged on Huron Avenue.

Thursday, March 5, 4:04 p.m.Criminal Harassment: A Murdock Street resident reported being harassed multiple times in person by a known individual.

Thursday, March 5, 4:26 p.m.Motor Vehicle / Unlicensed and Unregistered: A Somerville resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle on a public way, following a traffic stop at Massachusetts Avenue and Prospect Street.

Thursday, March 5, 4:32 p.m.Shoplifting: An unknown suspect stole $2 of items from a Massachusetts Avenue business and fled.

Thursday, March 5, 5:16 p.m.Identity Fraud / Wallet Theft: A Medford resident reported an individual stole their wallet and attempted multiple unauthorized transactions.

Thursday, March 5, 6:10 p.m.Larceny: An unknown suspect stole multiple items from the front of a Kirkland Street residence.

Thursday, March 5, 7:51 p.m.Shoplifting: An unknown suspect stole approximately $100 of items from a Porter Square business on White Street and fled.

Thursday, March 5, 7:58 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Massachusetts Avenue; the driver fled.

Thursday, March 5, 8:13 p.m.Defacement of Property: Multiple individuals threw ice and snow at an Amory Street residence, damaging a window screen.

Friday, March 6, 3:53 a.m.Assault and Battery: A victim at a Green Street shelter sought medical attention for injuries sustained during a physical assault earlier in the day in Central Square. The victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital.

Friday, March 6, 8:24 a.m.Hit and Run: A parked motor vehicle was struck on Windsor Street; the driver fled.

Friday, March 6, 10:42 a.m.Identity Fraud: An unknown person attempted to defraud a client of a Mt. Auburn Street business.

Friday, March 6, 11:29 a.m.Motor Vehicle Crash: A crash on Magazine Street sent one person to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Friday, March 6, 12:05 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $400 of merchandise from a Massachusetts Avenue business and fled.

Friday, March 6, 12:49 p.m.Identity Fraud: An unknown person used a Windsor Street resident's personal information to open an unauthorized account, which was used for multiple transactions totaling $25,025.

Friday, March 6, 1:41 p.m.Package Theft: A package containing $41 in merchandise was stolen from the front of a Lambert Street residence.

Friday, March 6, 2:03 p.m.Identity Fraud / Larceny: An unknown person used a Memorial Drive resident's personal information to open an unauthorized account used for multiple transactions totaling $2,300.

Friday, March 6, 2:48 p.m.Assault and Battery: A Dorchester resident reported being assaulted by an employee of a Main Street business.

Friday, March 6, 5:17 p.m.Threats: A Fawcett Street resident reported being verbally threatened by a known individual.

Friday, March 6, 6:21 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Putnam Avenue; the driver fled.

Friday, March 6, 6:56 p.m.Threats / Assault: A Rindge Avenue resident reported a neighbor threw a book at them during a disagreement.

Saturday, March 7, 9:59 a.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Sumner Road; the driver fled.

Saturday, March 7, 11:46 a.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Bigelow Street; the driver fled.

Saturday, March 7, 1:34 p.m.Motor Vehicle Theft: A Bigelow Street resident reported their vehicle stolen from Bigelow Street.

Saturday, March 7, 1:35 p.m.Motor Vehicle / Unregistered and Uninsured: A Randolph resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of operating an Unregistered and Uninsured Motor Vehicle, uncovered during a traffic stop for texting while driving at Pearl and Perry Streets.

Saturday, March 7, 1:51 p.m.Arrest: At a Somerville Avenue business, a store employee reported the suspect had stolen approximately $160 of merchandise. Lauren Molina, 36, of Halifax, was charged with Shoplifting by Asportation — 2nd Offense.

Saturday, March 7, 2:21 p.m.Package Theft: A package containing $171 in merchandise was stolen from the front of a Massachusetts Avenue residence.

Saturday, March 7, 2:53 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on River Street; the driver fled.

Saturday, March 7, 7:04 p.m.Credit Card Fraud: A Cambridge business reported a credit card had been used for $10.29 in unauthorized transactions on Massachusetts Avenue.

Saturday, March 7, 8:36 p.m.Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon: At an apartment building on Temple Street, one person smashed a chair and brandished scissors following an argument with a neighbor.

Sunday, March 8, 12:04 a.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Magoun Street; the driver fled.

Sunday, March 8, 8:29 a.m.Unattended Package: An unattended package on Main Street was inspected by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit and determined not to be hazardous.

Sunday, March 8, 12:12 p.m.Bicycle Theft: A bicycle valued at $1,200 was stolen from the bicycle storage room of a Cambridgepark Drive residence.

Sunday, March 8, 1:47 p.m.Threats: An unknown male entered a Harvard Square hotel on Bennett Street and made threatening comments toward employees.

Sunday, March 8, 1:49 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Spring Street; the driver fled.

Sunday, March 8, 1:57 p.m.Harassing Phone Calls: A Cambridge resident reported receiving multiple harassing, obscene phone calls from an unknown caller on Bolton Street.

Sunday, March 8, 3:25 p.m.Larceny: A purse was reported lost or possibly stolen on Harvard Street.

Sunday, March 8, 6:15 p.m.Larceny / Debit Card: A Cambridge Street resident reported lending their debit card to an acquaintance, who then withdrew more than the agreed-upon amount.

Sunday, March 8, 6:57 p.m.Breaking and Entering to Motor Vehicle: A vehicle on Windsor Street was broken into; an item valued at approximately $50 was stolen.

Sunday, March 8, 7:22 p.m.Malicious Destruction of Property: A Cambridge resident reported an electrical outlet inside a Fairfield Street rental property had been damaged and rendered inoperable.

Sunday, March 8, 7:31 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole approximately $15 of merchandise from a JFK Street business and fled.

Sunday, March 8, 9:00 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Cogswell Avenue; the driver fled.

Monday, March 9, 10:08 a.m.Arrest: A Central Square business on Massachusetts Avenue reported a suspect concealing merchandise valued at $100. Asia Carrion, 32, of Boston, was charged with Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise.

Monday, March 9, 11:38 a.m.Motor Vehicle / Suspended License: A Boston resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle after License Suspension, following a traffic stop at Massachusetts Avenue and Western Avenue.

Monday, March 9, 11:43 a.m.License Plate Theft: A license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked on Richdale Avenue.

Monday, March 9, 11:52 a.m.Package Theft: A package containing $700.19 in merchandise was stolen from the front of a York Street residence.

Monday, March 9, 2:30 p.m.Criminal Harassment: A Jefferson Street resident reported a downstairs neighbor intentionally causing noise to harass them.

Monday, March 9, 2:55 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $141.31 of merchandise from a Massachusetts Avenue business and fled.

Monday, March 9, 4:41 p.m.Assault and Battery: Following a disagreement at a Mt. Auburn Street business, a customer physically assaulted an employee and fled.

Monday, March 9, 5:02 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $110 of merchandise from a Somerville Avenue business and fled.

Monday, March 9, 6:12 p.m.Assault and Battery: A security guard at a Norfolk Street apartment building reported a resident pushed them; no injuries were reported.

Monday, March 9, 6:43 p.m.Motor Vehicle Crash: A crash on Massachusetts Avenue sent one person to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Monday, March 9, 7:01 p.m.Arrest: A Porter Square gym on Somerville Avenue reported a larceny in progress. The suspect had accessed the locker room, stolen six credit cards, and used them for unauthorized purchases. Belay Gebrezgiy, 29, of Boston, was charged with Larceny from a Building, Credit Card Larceny, and Identity Fraud.

Monday, March 9, 7:48 p.m.Assault and Battery: A fight outside a Central Square business on Massachusetts Avenue left one person with minor injuries; they declined to pursue charges.

Monday, March 9, 9:52 p.m.Threats / Assault: At Bishop Allen Drive, a reporting person stated that during an argument a known individual pushed them to the ground and threatened to stab them.

Monday, March 9, 10:13 p.m.Dog Bite: A person was bitten by a dog on Rindge Avenue and sustained minor injuries; they sought treatment on their own.

Monday, March 9, 10:28 p.m.Larceny: An unknown person stole clothing from a dryer at a Cambridge Street laundromat.

Monday, March 9, 11:16 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle was struck on Hurley Street; the driver fled.

Tuesday, March 10, 2:07 a.m.Defacement of Property / Assault: At a Massachusetts Avenue business, a suspect punched and threw objects at a window after being refused free food, causing damage.

Tuesday, March 10, 9:15 a.m.Larceny: An unknown suspect stole a bag from a resident in the elevator of a Lambert Street residential building.

Tuesday, March 10, 10:52 a.m.Arrest: Five active warrants out of Cambridge District Court led to an arrest on Green Street. Gale Lewis, 69, of Fall River, was charged with the underlying warrant offenses.
