Tuesday, June 30, 12:41 a.m. — Assault & Battery: A person at a First Street business reported they had been spat on during an argument.
Tuesday, June 30, 1:50 a.m. — Larceny: Two suitcases containing approximately $1,500 in personal property were reported stolen from outside a Western Avenue residence.
Tuesday, June 30, 5:43 a.m. — Package Theft: Multiple opened delivery packages were found outside a Cambridgepark Drive apartment, contents stolen.
Tuesday, June 30, 9:05 a.m. — Hit and Run (Property Damage): A passing truck struck a parked vehicle on Gray Street and fled; a detail officer reported the incident.
Tuesday, June 30, 9:21 a.m. — Larceny: A bicycle valued at $700 was reported stolen from outside a workplace on Hampshire Street.
Tuesday, June 30, 9:35 a.m. — Criminal Harassment: An Elm Street resident reported ongoing issues with a neighbor.
Tuesday, June 30, 9:39 a.m. — Hit and Run (Personal Injury): A victim at Arlington Street and Massachusetts Avenue reported being struck by a vehicle earlier in the day, sustaining leg pain; the victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital.
Tuesday, June 30, 11:41 a.m. — Traffic Summons: A Cambridge resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked license, following a traffic stop near Rogers Street and Third Street.
Tuesday, June 30, 11:43 a.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect was stopped at a Cambridge Street business; all merchandise was returned.
Tuesday, June 30, 11:44 a.m. — Criminal Harassment: Police responded to Temple Street on a report of ongoing issues between neighbors.
Tuesday, June 30, 11:51 a.m. — Larceny: A bicycle valued at $1,000 was reported stolen from Central Square.
Tuesday, June 30, 12:26 p.m. — Threats: An unknown person made false crime reports and threatened staff at a Harvard Square hotel.
Tuesday, June 30, 12:56 p.m. — Hit and Run (Property Damage): A parked vehicle was struck at Ash Street and Brattle Street and the driver fled.
Tuesday, June 30, 1:40 p.m. — Arrest: Officers interacted with Nicole Reilly during a call for service at Sennott Park; she was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Lynn District Court, and a subsequent search yielded suspected heroin, suspected crack cocaine, and prescription pills. Nicole Reilly, 38, of Cambridge, was charged with possession of a Class A controlled substance (suspected heroin), possession of a Class B controlled substance (suspected crack cocaine), and possession of a Class E controlled substance (prescription pills), in addition to the outstanding warrant.
Tuesday, June 30, 1:46 p.m. — Hit and Run (Property Damage): A vehicle was struck in traffic at Appian Way and Garden Street; no injuries were reported.
Tuesday, June 30, 2:11 p.m. — Attempted Break-In: A resident on Market Street reported viewing an unknown person on security camera attempting to open the front and rear doors of their residence.
Tuesday, June 30, 4:04 p.m. — Identity Fraud: A Sixth Street resident reported that an unknown person used their personal information to withdraw approximately $50,000 from their bank accounts.
Tuesday, June 30, 4:36 p.m. — Lost Property / Possible Larceny: A victim reported losing a bag; earphones inside were pinging in the Harvard Square area near Church Street and Massachusetts Avenue.
Tuesday, June 30, 5:00 p.m. — Identity Fraud / Scam: A Washburn Avenue resident was defrauded of $15,000, wired to a caller falsely claiming to represent the Worcester County Sheriff's Office to resolve a non-existent court case.
Tuesday, June 30, 5:12 p.m. — Package Theft: A package containing $267 in clothing was reported stolen from the front of a Western Avenue residence.
Tuesday, June 30, 5:34 p.m. — Arrest: Benjamin Zhao was arrested on Griswold Street on a charge of vandalizing property after reportedly urinating on a vehicle. Benjamin Zhao, 43, of Belmont, was charged with vandalizing property.
Tuesday, June 30, 5:58 p.m. — Larceny: A bicycle valued at $1,000 was reported stolen from Erie Street.
Tuesday, June 30, 6:22 p.m. — Assault: A restaurant employee and a food delivery driver in Central Square became involved in an argument during which threats were made.
Tuesday, June 30, 7:05 p.m. — Shoplifting: Sporting goods valued at $31.43 were reported stolen from a Central Square business.
Tuesday, June 30, 7:10 p.m. — Malicious Damage to Motor Vehicle: A vehicle window was smashed while the vehicle was parked on Pacific Street.
Tuesday, June 30, 7:43 p.m. — Larceny: A bag was reported stolen from a workplace on Mt. Auburn Street.
Tuesday, June 30, 7:46 p.m. — Threats: A person on Alewife Brook Parkway reported that a known individual made verbal threats against their family.
Tuesday, June 30, 8:08 p.m. — Larceny: A Cambridge resident reported that a rideshare driver refused to return their property.
Tuesday, June 30, 9:12 p.m. — Breaking & Entering to Motor Vehicle: A purse, $10 cash, a credit card, and jewelry were reported stolen from a vehicle on Sherman Street.
Wednesday, July 1, 1:25 a.m. — Assault: A victim in Central Square reported being physically assaulted by an acquaintance during an argument; minor injuries were reported.
Wednesday, July 1, 8:14 a.m. — Shoplifting: $26.47 in merchandise was reported stolen from a River Street business.
Wednesday, July 1, 9:04 a.m. — Package Theft: An unknown suspect stole multiple packages with an estimated combined value of $5,000 from a Cambridgepark Drive building.
Wednesday, July 1, 10:01 a.m. — Larceny: Multiple furniture items were reported stolen from a Temple Street address.
Wednesday, July 1, 10:54 a.m. — Threats: Hotel staff at a Harvard Square hotel reported that an unknown person had made threats against them and the facility.
Wednesday, July 1, 11:06 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Larceny: A Main Street business reported a rental vehicle had not been returned as agreed under contract.
Wednesday, July 1, 11:16 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: An operator on Norfolk Street reported swerving to avoid an erratic cyclist and striking a parked vehicle; no injuries were reported.
Wednesday, July 1, 11:36 a.m. — Package Theft: A Clifton Street resident reported three packages stolen over several days, with a combined estimated value of $50.
Wednesday, July 1, 12:06 p.m. — Criminal Harassment: A Temple Street resident reported ongoing issues with a neighbor.
Wednesday, July 1, 12:49 p.m. — Hit and Run (Property Damage): A vehicle was struck on Plympton Street by a driver making an illegal turn, who then fled.
Wednesday, July 1, 12:55 p.m. — Shoplifting: A customer at a Central Square store was reported attempting to steal a $20 bottle of wine.
Wednesday, July 1, 2:30 p.m. — Shoplifting Summons: A Cambridge resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of shoplifting after attempting to steal $25 in merchandise from a Porter Square business.
Wednesday, July 1, 2:30 p.m. — Arrest: Marie Costa was observed by loss prevention removing an anti-theft security device from merchandise at a Central Square store and was subsequently found to have suspected Klonopin pills on her person. Marie Costa, 50, of Cambridge, was charged with removing a theft detection device and possession of a Class C controlled substance.
Wednesday, July 1, 2:34 p.m. — Threats: A Temple Street resident reported that a known individual made verbal threats to physically assault them.
Wednesday, July 1, 2:49 p.m. — Identity Fraud: A Washington Avenue resident reported fraudulent activity on an online account discovered through mail.
Wednesday, July 1, 3:52 p.m. — Hit and Run (Property Damage): A vehicle was struck from behind on JFK Street at Eliot Street and the driver fled.
Wednesday, July 1, 4:34 p.m. — Scam: A Ware Street resident was charged $236 by a person falsely claiming to represent a cable company for a non-existent promotion.
Wednesday, July 1, 4:57 p.m. — Hit and Run (Property Damage): A parked vehicle was struck in a parking lot on Mt. Auburn Street and the driver fled.
Wednesday, July 1, 5:25 p.m. — Arrest: Ivan Rodriguez was observed by store employees stealing over $160 in merchandise from a Central Square business; officers located him nearby with the items in his possession. Ivan Rodriguez, 49, of Cambridge, was charged with shoplifting by asportation.
Wednesday, July 1, 5:26 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Larceny: A Memorial Drive rental car business reported that a vehicle rented in May had not been returned as agreed under contract.
Wednesday, July 1, 5:27 p.m. — Drug Activity Complaint: Police responded to a Massachusetts Avenue address for a drug-use complaint.
Wednesday, July 1, 6:24 p.m. — Larceny / Credit Card Fraud: A Cambridge Street business reported a food delivery valued at $84.42 for which the credit card used by the customer was later rejected.
Wednesday, July 1, 6:30 p.m. — Larceny: A purse containing debit cards and $600 cash was reported stolen from inside a Central Square business.
Wednesday, July 1, 7:26 p.m. — Unattended Bag: An unattended bag on the 600 block of Massachusetts Avenue was inspected by the Explosive Ordnance Unit and determined not to be hazardous.
Wednesday, July 1, 7:45 p.m. — Check Fraud: A Concord Avenue resident reported that a check they had used was altered and multiple unauthorized attempts were made to cash it.
Wednesday, July 1, 9:12 p.m. — Traffic Summons: A Medford resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, following a traffic stop at Prospect Street and St. Paul Street.
Wednesday, July 1, 9:28 p.m. — Arrest: Bridget Flaherty was arrested at Cambridgepark Drive on six active warrants out of Cambridge District Court. Bridget Flaherty, 37, of Arlington, was held on six active warrants.
Wednesday, July 1, 9:45 p.m. — Arrest: Dante Davis was arrested at Central Square on an outstanding warrant out of Woburn District Court. Dante Davis, 35, of Somerville, was held on the outstanding warrant.
Wednesday, July 1, 9:47 p.m. — Arrest — OUI: Officers at the scene of a motor vehicle crash on Cambridge Street observed Eric Jackson displaying multiple indicators of impairment and found an open container of alcohol inside his vehicle. Eric Jackson, 40, of Cambridge, was charged with Operating Under the Influence of Liquor and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Wednesday, July 1, 9:54 p.m. — Arrest: Jessica Welch was arrested at Porter Square on six active warrants out of courts in Cambridge and Somerville. Jessica Welch, 36, of Cambridge, was held on six active warrants.
Wednesday, July 1, 9:59 p.m. — Arrest: Mathew McFarland was arrested at Porter Square on an outstanding warrant out of Cambridge District Court. Mathew McFarland, 39, unhoused, was held on the outstanding warrant.
Wednesday, July 1, 11:01 p.m. — Breaking & Entering to Motor Vehicle: Personal papers and approximately $20 in cash and loose change were reported stolen from a vehicle on Alpine Street.
Thursday, July 2, 12:09 a.m. — Criminal Harassment: An employee of a Cambridgeside Place business reported an issue with a customer.
Thursday, July 2, 8:04 a.m. — Cyclist Injury Crash: A cyclist sustained minor injuries in a crash at Hampshire Street and Prospect Street.
Thursday, July 2, 8:36 a.m. — Criminal Harassment: A Broadway resident reported receiving strange letters from an unknown person.
Thursday, July 2, 9:36 a.m. — Malicious Damage to Motor Vehicle: Four tires valued at $600 were reported slashed on a vehicle on Gold Star Road.
Thursday, July 2, 10:19 a.m. — Hit and Run (Property Damage): A parked vehicle was struck on Concord Avenue and the driver fled.
Thursday, July 2, 10:41 a.m. — Criminal Harassment: A Temple Street resident reported ongoing issues with a neighbor.
Thursday, July 2, 11:12 a.m. — Shoplifting Summons: A Boston resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of shoplifting by price tag tampering and shoplifting by concealing merchandise, after allegedly removing theft detection devices and concealing $92 in merchandise at a Massachusetts Avenue business.
Thursday, July 2, 11:50 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Larceny: A vehicle was reported stolen on Richdale Avenue.
Thursday, July 2, 12:20 p.m. — Breaking & Entering: A resident on Erie Street reported that someone broke into their residence and stole their journal.
Thursday, July 2, 12:35 p.m. — Unarmed Robbery: An unknown individual attempted to steal $25 in merchandise from a Massachusetts Avenue business.
Thursday, July 2, 12:52 p.m. — Shoplifting / Theft Detection Removal: A suspect stole $106 in merchandise from a Massachusetts Avenue business and fled.
Thursday, July 2, 12:54 p.m. — Hit and Run (Property Damage): A parked vehicle was struck on Broadway and the driver fled.
Thursday, July 2, 1:11 p.m. — Dooring Crash: A moped operator riding in the bike lane on Massachusetts Avenue at Wendell Street collided with a vehicle door; no injuries were reported. Both the motorist and moped operator were cited.
Thursday, July 2, 1:41 p.m. — Breaking & Entering to Motor Vehicle: A vehicle parked on Alewife Brook Parkway was broken into; items valued at $1,000 were stolen.
Thursday, July 2, 2:27 p.m. — Identity Fraud: A Concord Avenue resident reported that an unknown person used their personal information to receive fraudulent payments valued at $18,000.
Thursday, July 2, 3:13 p.m. — Larceny: A Marcella Street resident reported that a neighbor may have stolen an item from their bag.
Thursday, July 2, 4:01 p.m. — Traffic Summons: A Bedford resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, following a traffic stop for a red light violation on Massachusetts Avenue.
Thursday, July 2, 4:16 p.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect stole $35 in merchandise from a JFK Street business and fled.
Thursday, July 2, 4:25 p.m. — Larceny / Vehicle Tampering: An unknown person removed multiple lug nuts from a vehicle near Clifton Place.
Thursday, July 2, 4:53 p.m. — Larceny: A bicycle and U-lock valued at $1,402 were reported stolen from the rear of a Roberts Road residence.
Thursday, July 2, 5:20 p.m. — Larceny: A bicycle valued at approximately $600 was reported stolen from a bike rack at a Whittemore Avenue residence.
Thursday, July 2, 5:54 p.m. — Larceny: A bicycle valued at $1,500 was reported stolen from outside a business on Massachusetts Avenue.
Thursday, July 2, 6:20 p.m. — Breaking & Entering to Motor Vehicle: A River Street resident reported items taken from their vehicle while moving belongings to a new residence.
Thursday, July 2, 7:32 p.m. — Assault: A victim at a Mt. Auburn Street business reported that an unknown group threw coffee, spat on them, and made verbal threats to shoot or stab them.
Thursday, July 2, 8:38 p.m. — Vandalism (Motor Vehicle): The rear left taillight of a vehicle was reported damaged while parked outside a Putnam Avenue residence.
Thursday, July 2, 9:15 p.m. — Vandalism (Motor Vehicle): The rear windshield of a vehicle was reported completely shattered while parked outside a Putnam Avenue residence.
Thursday, July 2, 10:14 p.m. — Threats: A victim at a Vassar Street business reported being threatened by a known individual.
Thursday, July 2, 10:48 p.m. — Hit and Run (Property Damage): A parked vehicle was struck on Wendell Street and the driver fled.
Friday, July 3, 2:31 a.m. — Scam: A Forest Street resident reported being tricked into spending approximately $2,000 on gift cards.
Friday, July 3, 8:37 a.m. — Arrest: Adam Kasevich was arrested on Alewife Brook Parkway on four active warrants out of courts in Taunton, Cambridge, Brookline, and Waltham. Adam Kasevich, 35, of Cambridge, was held on four active warrants.
Friday, July 3, 8:44 a.m. — Arrest: Andy Dau was arrested on Massachusetts Avenue on two active warrants out of Cambridge District Court. Andy Dau, 32, of Cambridge, was held on two active warrants.
Friday, July 3, 8:52 a.m. — Hit and Run (Property Damage): A parked vehicle was struck on Suffolk Street and the driver fled.
Friday, July 3, 9:54 a.m. — Traffic Summons: A Somerville resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, arising from a crash on Cambridge Street; no injuries were reported.
Friday, July 3, 10:05 a.m. — Criminal Harassment: A Columbia Street resident reported ongoing issues with a neighbor.
Friday, July 3, 11:06 a.m. — Criminal Harassment: An Elm Street resident reported ongoing issues with a neighbor.
Friday, July 3, 11:35 a.m. — Shoplifting Summons: A Boston resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of shoplifting after stealing $16.99 in merchandise from a Massachusetts Avenue business.
Friday, July 3, 12:54 p.m. — Suspicious Activity: A Green Street business owner reported suspected drug activity outside the business.
Friday, July 3, 1:09 p.m. — Arrest — Firearm / Drugs: Officers responded to an Alewife Brook Parkway business on a shoplifting complaint; Abdul Ahmed had allegedly stolen $34 in merchandise and fled. Officers stopped Ahmed nearby and found he was carrying a loaded firearm without a License to Carry, suspected fentanyl, suspected crack cocaine, and prescription pills, and was wanted on an outstanding warrant out of New Hampshire. Abdul Ahmed, 52, of Somerville, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, shoplifting, unlawful possession of controlled substances, and held on the outstanding warrant.
Friday, July 3, 1:51 p.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect stole $8 in merchandise from an Alewife Brook Parkway business; the suspect was stopped by police and all merchandise was returned.
Friday, July 3, 1:55 p.m. — Arrest: An employee at a Massachusetts Avenue business in Central Square reported Rickey Mejia had stolen $218 in merchandise. Rickey Mejia, 33, of Boston, was charged with shoplifting by concealment.
Friday, July 3, 1:56 p.m. — Pedestrian Crash: A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle at Massachusetts Avenue and Prospect Street, sustaining minor injuries; the vehicle operator was cited.
Friday, July 3, 3:58 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Larceny: A scooter valued at approximately $1,100 was reported stolen from outside a business on Massachusetts Avenue.
Friday, July 3, 6:04 p.m. — Threats: A Wendell Street resident reported that a known individual made verbal threats about shooting someone during an argument.
Friday, July 3, 6:28 p.m. — Criminal Harassment: A Sixth Street resident reported an ongoing neighbor dispute.
Friday, July 3, 8:17 p.m. — Hit and Run (Personal Injury): A scooter was struck by a motor vehicle in a parking lot on Rindge Avenue; non-life-threatening injuries were reported and the driver fled.
Saturday, July 4, 1:26 a.m. — Assault & Battery: Police responded to a fight on Brattle Street; no injuries were reported.
Saturday, July 4, 3:01 a.m. — Vandalism Summons: A Peabody resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of vandalizing property after allegedly intentionally shattering a glass window near Massachusetts Avenue and Prospect Street.
Saturday, July 4, 5:24 a.m. — Homicide Investigation: Police, fire, and EMS responded to the area of Broadway and Norfolk Street for an unresponsive person; the individual was found deceased with a gunshot wound.
Saturday, July 4, 7:16 a.m. — Drug Activity Complaint: Police responded to Massachusetts Avenue for a report of drug activity.
Saturday, July 4, 7:37 a.m. — Unattended Package: An unattended package at Hampshire Street and Inman Street was inspected by the Explosive Ordnance Unit and determined not to be hazardous.
Saturday, July 4, 10:31 a.m. — Scam: A victim on Alewife Brook Parkway reported losing $1,500 in a social media scam.
Saturday, July 4, 11:06 a.m. — Larceny: A bicycle valued at approximately $700 was reported stolen from outside a business on Somerville Avenue.
Saturday, July 4, 11:18 a.m. — Arrest: Officers observed Jordan Landrum operating a vehicle erratically at more than double the speed limit through a crowded business district at Massachusetts Avenue and Sidney Street. Jordan Landrum, 28, of Boston, was charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle
