The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Cambridge Police Department's official public log for the period June 23–26, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).


Tuesday, June 23, 12:29 a.m.Arrest: A store employee on Massachusetts Avenue reported a suspect had stolen $32 worth of merchandise. Jeremy Warren, 25, of Cambridge, was charged with Shoplifting by Asportation and held on a warrant out of Malden District Court.

Tuesday, June 23, 12:47 a.m.Shoplifting: A Porter Square business reported a suspect had stolen $22.95 in merchandise; officers stopped and identified the suspect and all merchandise was returned.

Tuesday, June 23, 9:19 a.m.Shoplifting: Suspects stole approximately $40 in merchandise from a Broadway business and fled.

Tuesday, June 23, 9:35 a.m.Civil Dispute: Police responded to a Temple Street residence for an ongoing dispute between neighbors.

Tuesday, June 23, 10:54 a.m.Vandalism: Police took a report of graffiti on a Massachusetts Avenue property.

Tuesday, June 23, 12:27 p.m.Credit Card Fraud: A Sixth Street resident reported an unknown person used their personal information to make unauthorized withdrawals totaling $1,212 from their account.

Tuesday, June 23, 12:42 p.m.Hit and Run: A vehicle was struck in traffic on Massachusetts Avenue at Everett Street; no injuries were reported.

Tuesday, June 23, 1:55 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle on Sixth Street was struck and damaged.

Tuesday, June 23, 2:41 p.m.Larceny: A bicycle was stolen from the front of a Brookline Street residence.

Tuesday, June 23, 3:05 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle on Churchill Avenue was struck and damaged.

Tuesday, June 23, 3:46 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle at Bishop Allen Drive and Norfolk Street was struck and damaged.

Tuesday, June 23, 5:46 p.m.Assault and Battery: A person reported sustaining minor injuries during a physical altercation with an unknown suspect on Palmer Street.

Tuesday, June 23, 6:03 p.m.Scam: A Sciarappa Street resident reported being scammed out of $350 through social media.

Tuesday, June 23, 6:08 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $160 in merchandise from a Cambridgeside Place business and fled.

Tuesday, June 23, 7:58 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle on Brookline Place was struck and damaged.

Tuesday, June 23, 9:31 p.m.Motor Vehicle Summons: An Everett resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle on a public roadway, following a traffic stop in Harvard Square.

Wednesday, June 24, 7:57 a.m.Larceny: A bicycle valued at $2,500 was stolen from an apartment complex bike room on New Street.

Wednesday, June 24, 8:08 a.m.Package Theft: A package containing $827 in merchandise was stolen from the front of a Harvard Street business.

Wednesday, June 24, 8:44 a.m.Hit and Run: A vehicle was struck in traffic on Concord Avenue; no injuries were reported.

Wednesday, June 24, 10:02 a.m.Larceny: A vehicle parked on Thorndike Street was broken into and its front license plate was stolen; the reporting resident is on Sixth Street.

Wednesday, June 24, 10:21 a.m.Assault and Battery: A person reported being punched in the face without provocation by an unknown suspect near Bishop Allen Drive and Norfolk Street; no injuries were reported.

Wednesday, June 24, 10:22 a.m.Arrest: Dennis Carney was stopped inside Russell Field riding a bicycle that had been reported stolen. Carney, 45, unhoused, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property valued over $1,200.

Wednesday, June 24, 12:35 p.m.Check Fraud: A bank manager on Cambridge Street reported a patron had attempted to cash a fraudulent check.

Wednesday, June 24, 12:39 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $13.50 in merchandise from a Massachusetts Avenue business in Central Square and fled.

Wednesday, June 24, 12:50 p.m.Malicious Damage: An Auburn Street resident reported their vehicle had been keyed by an unknown suspect.

Wednesday, June 24, 1:06 p.m.Arrest: A Central Square business reported a shoplifting; a store employee reported $25 in merchandise had been stolen. Sabrina Jenkins, 48, of Cambridge, was charged with Shoplifting by Concealment — 3rd or Subsequent Offense.

Wednesday, June 24, 1:38 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle on Shepard Street was struck and damaged.

Wednesday, June 24, 3:14 p.m.Larceny: A bicycle and lock were stolen from a bike rack in Central Square; the reporting resident is on Massachusetts Avenue.

Wednesday, June 24, 3:23 p.m.Larceny: A bicycle and miscellaneous items valued at $120 were stolen near a Norfolk Street residence.

Wednesday, June 24, 3:24 p.m.Pedestrian Crash: A pedestrian was struck in a crosswalk on Massachusetts Avenue; minor injuries were reported and the motorist was cited.

Wednesday, June 24, 4:01 p.m.Larceny: A bicycle valued at $800 was stolen from the backyard of a Chester Street residence.

Wednesday, June 24, 4:07 p.m.Hit and Run — Pedestrian Injured: A pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run on Inman Street and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Wednesday, June 24, 5:13 p.m.Arrest: Officers witnessed a suspect spray another person with mace at Massachusetts Avenue and Pearl Street. Kevanna Boyd, 38, unhoused with a last known address in Cambridge, was charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Disorderly Conduct.

Wednesday, June 24, 5:28 p.m.Larceny: A plant valued at approximately $40 was stolen from the front of a Cedar Street residence.

Wednesday, June 24, 5:39 p.m.Hit and Run: A vehicle was struck in traffic at Binney Street and Second Street; no injuries were reported.

Wednesday, June 24, 5:40 p.m.Package Theft: Two packages containing $150 in merchandise were stolen from a storage room in a Massachusetts Avenue residence.

Wednesday, June 24, 5:56 p.m.Unarmed Robbery: An unknown suspect ripped a gold necklace from a victim's neck near Linsky Way and Third Street, causing minor injuries.

Wednesday, June 24, 6:12 p.m.Arrest: Officers observed a suspect openly drinking an alcoholic beverage in Porter Square. Ridchy Lesy, 30, of Cambridge, was charged with drinking in public.

Wednesday, June 24, 6:13 p.m.Motor Vehicle Theft: A Brockton resident reported their motorcycle, valued at $1,100, was stolen from a sidewalk outside a Massachusetts Avenue business.

Wednesday, June 24, 6:22 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole approximately $35 in merchandise from a JFK Street business and fled.

Wednesday, June 24, 6:30 p.m.Arrest: Officers responded after a Massachusetts Avenue business employee reported a suspect attempting to steal $134.43 in merchandise. Jasmine Rivera, 44, unhoused with a last known address in Lynn, was charged with Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise and Possession of a Class E Drug, and was held on three warrants out of Boston District Court.

Wednesday, June 24, 6:43 p.m.Motor Vehicle Summons: An Everett resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of operating an unregistered motor vehicle on a public roadway, following a traffic stop in Harvard Square.

Wednesday, June 24, 6:49 p.m.Arrest: Officers investigating suspected drug activity found a suspect in a private parking lot on Green Street. Jacqueline McCall, 42, unhoused with a last known address in Charlestown, was charged with Trespassing and Possession of a Class A Substance, and was held on two warrants out of Boston and one warrant out of Somerville District Court.

Wednesday, June 24, 7:11 p.m.Larceny: A rented bicycle was stolen from a sidewalk outside a Memorial Drive business; the reporting resident is in Somerville.

Wednesday, June 24, 7:52 p.m.Larceny: A moped and two motorcycle helmets valued at $3,300 were stolen from a bike rack at the front of a Main Street residence.

Wednesday, June 24, 8:23 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $200 in merchandise from a White Street business and fled.

Wednesday, June 24, 8:36 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle on Massachusetts Avenue was struck and damaged.

Thursday, June 25, 8:12 a.m.Suspicious Activity: An unknown person was observed riding a bicycle up multiple residential driveways in the area of Mead Street and Walden Street.

Thursday, June 25, 9:16 a.m.Cyclist Doored: A cyclist was struck by a car door opening on Massachusetts Avenue at Prospect Street, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries; the motorist was cited.

Thursday, June 25, 9:35 a.m.Unattended Package: An unattended package at Garden Street and Waterhouse Street was inspected by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit and determined not to be hazardous.

Thursday, June 25, 9:59 a.m.Larceny: A bicycle valued at $400 was stolen from the front of a Columbus Avenue property.

Thursday, June 25, 10:01 a.m.Package Theft: A package containing $500 in merchandise was stolen from the front of a Trowbridge Street residence.

Thursday, June 25, 10:12 a.m.Arrest: Benjamin Josey, 67, unhoused, was held on two warrants out of Roxbury District Court. (No further circumstances given in log.)

Thursday, June 25, 11:00 a.m.Larceny: A bicycle valued at $300 was stolen from the backyard of a Cogswell Avenue residence.

Thursday, June 25, 11:36 a.m.Malicious Damage: An Eighth Street resident reported malicious damage to their vehicle while it was parked in front of their residence.

Thursday, June 25, 12:43 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $91.72 in merchandise from a Massachusetts Avenue business and fled.

Thursday, June 25, 1:09 p.m.Package Theft: A package containing $69 in merchandise was stolen from the front of a Pilgrim Street residence.

Thursday, June 25, 1:44 p.m.Package Theft: A package containing $40 in merchandise was stolen from the front of a Pilgrim Street residence.

Thursday, June 25, 3:27 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle on Lee Street was struck and damaged.

Thursday, June 25, 4:01 p.m.Identity Fraud: An unknown person used a Massachusetts Avenue resident's personal information to open an unauthorized account with a mobile carrier.

Thursday, June 25, 5:43 p.m.Vehicle Break-In: A Hamilton Street resident's vehicle was broken into while parked in front of their residence; items valued at $1,200 were stolen.

Thursday, June 25, 6:15 p.m.Trespassing: Police took a report of trespassing at a Massachusetts Avenue business.

Thursday, June 25, 6:33 p.m.Vehicle Break-In: A Plymouth Street resident's vehicle was broken into while parked in front of their residence; items valued at $285 were stolen.

Thursday, June 25, 7:15 p.m.Arrest: A victim reported a suspect made threats against vehicle occupants on Harvard Street and repeatedly punched a vehicle door, causing damage. Michael Hyppolite, 44, of Waltham, was charged with Threats to Commit a Crime and Defacing Property.

Thursday, June 25, 10:02 p.m.Arrest: A suspect attempted to gain entry to a building on Canal Park and, upon being turned away, blocked vehicles exiting a parking garage. Dorene Sorenson, 54, of Cambridge, was charged with Disturbing the Peace and Attempt to Commit a Crime.

Thursday, June 25, 10:45 p.m.Malicious Damage: A Prescott Street resident reported malicious damage to their vehicle while it was parked in front of their residence.

Thursday, June 25, 11:30 p.m.Scam: Police responded to a Huron Avenue residence for a report of a possible social media scam.

Friday, June 26, 7:28 a.m.Larceny: A bicycle and lock valued at approximately $500 were stolen from a sidewalk outside a Hamlin Street residence.

Friday, June 26, 8:03 a.m.Vehicle Break-In: An employee of a Kendall Street business reported their vehicle was broken into inside a nearby garage and a computer was stolen.

Friday, June 26, 8:18 a.m.Arrest: James Hook, 58, of Somerville, was held on a warrant out of Boston Municipal Court. (No further circumstances given in log.)

Friday, June 26, 8:57 a.m.Threats: A Columbia Street resident reported a known person had made verbal threats against them.

Friday, June 26, 9:37 a.m.Larceny: A bicycle valued at $800 was stolen from a bike rack in front of a Massachusetts Avenue business; the reporting party is a Somerville resident.

Friday, June 26, 9:59 a.m.Package Theft: A package containing $15 in merchandise was stolen from the front of a Webster Avenue residence.

Friday, June 26, 11:36 a.m.Identity Fraud: An unknown person attempted to steal $3,388.82 from a bank account belonging to a Rindge Avenue resident.

Friday, June 26, 12:08 p.m.Larceny: A bicycle valued at $2,000 was stolen from a storage room in a Columbia Street residence.

Friday, June 26, 1:09 p.m.Larceny: A bicycle was stolen from a sidewalk in front of a Massachusetts Avenue business; the reporting resident is on Hilliard Place.

Friday, June 26, 1:11 p.m.Suspicious Activity: An unknown person entered the locker room of a Central Square business on Massachusetts Avenue without permission.

Friday, June 26, 1:15 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle on Roberts Road was struck and damaged.

Friday, June 26, 1:50 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle on Seventh Street was struck and damaged.

Friday, June 26, 2:05 p.m.Motor Vehicle Summons: A Lynn resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended license, following a traffic stop on Massachusetts Avenue.

Friday, June 26, 2:15 p.m.Online Rental Scam: A Boston resident reported falling victim to an online apartment rental scam, paying a $6,200 deposit on a residence that was not available to rent; the incident was reported at Cambridgepark Drive.

Friday, June 26, 2:28 p.m.Online Scam: A reporting person paid $1,500 for an online service that was never received; reported at Marcella Street.

Friday, June 26, 2:35 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $50 in merchandise from a Somerville Avenue business and fled.

Friday, June 26, 2:37 p.m.Assault and Battery: A person was physically assaulted by an unknown suspect at a Brattle Street business after asking the suspect to leave the premises.

Friday, June 26, 5:10 p.m.Hit and Run: A parked vehicle on Plympton Street was struck and damaged.

Friday, June 26, 7:14 p.m.Disturbance / Threats: Police responded to Winthrop Park at JFK Street and Mt. Auburn Street for a disturbance in which one person threatened another with a cane during an argument over money.

Friday, June 26, 11:50 p.m.Motor Vehicle Theft: A Pacific Street resident reported their moped, valued at approximately $1,000, was stolen from a bike rack at a nearby parking lot.
