The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Cambridge Police Department's official public log for the period September 3–3, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).


Thursday, September 3, 8:32 a.m.Larceny: A Cambridge resident reported that an unknown individual stole their ATM card inside a Massachusetts Ave. business.

Thursday, September 3, 11:25 a.m.Traffic Violation: A Woburn resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian in a Crosswalk, following a traffic stop at Concord Ave. and Huron Ave.

Thursday, September 3, 11:26 a.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $102.32 in merchandise from a River St. business and fled before officers arrived.

Thursday, September 3, 11:53 a.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $40.47 in merchandise from a Massachusetts Ave. business; officers located the suspect and recovered the items.

Thursday, September 3, 1:16 p.m.Hit-and-Run, Personal Injury: A vehicle was struck in traffic on Massachusetts Ave.; one person sustained non-life-threatening injuries and the other involved party fled the scene.

Thursday, September 3, 1:21 p.m.Arrest: Officers arrested two individuals on outstanding warrants on Pearl St. Ali Barnes, 30, of Fitchburg, was charged with one warrant out of Waltham District Court. Bianca Rose Lavargna, 33, of Waltham, was charged with three warrants out of Waltham District Court.

Thursday, September 3, 1:58 p.m.Package Theft: A package containing $200 in merchandise was stolen from the lobby of a Third St. residence.

Thursday, September 3, 2:52 p.m.Aggravated Assault and Battery: A pedestrian and a motorist got into an argument that turned physical on Massachusetts Ave.; no injuries were reported.

Thursday, September 3, 3:01 p.m.Assault: An individual entered a Massachusetts Ave. business, yelled racial slurs at customers, and threw a drink at an employee; the individual was identified and trespassed from the business.

Thursday, September 3, 3:20 p.m.Unarmed Robbery: A suspect entered a Brattle St. business, passed a note to an employee demanding cash, and fled the area.

Thursday, September 3, 3:35 p.m.Motor Vehicle Crash: Officers responded to Harvard St. for a motor vehicle crash; no injuries were reported.

Thursday, September 3, 3:51 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole approximately $400 in merchandise from a White St. business and fled before officers arrived.

Thursday, September 3, 4:00 p.m.Motor Vehicle Theft: A victim on Walden St. reported they could not locate their parked motor vehicle.

Thursday, September 3, 4:24 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $50 in merchandise from a White St. business and fled before officers arrived.

Thursday, September 3, 4:53 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $97 in merchandise from a Massachusetts Ave. business and fled before officers arrived.

Thursday, September 3, 5:16 p.m.Vandalism: An unknown individual damaged the side window of a vehicle on Hampshire St.

Thursday, September 3, 5:25 p.m.Arrest: A traffic stop near Massachusetts Ave. and State St. led to an arrest on a license charge. Brandon Moore, 43, of Dedham, was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor (or Drugs).

Thursday, September 3, 6:04 p.m.Identity Theft: A Ware St. resident reported their credit card was used for $410 in unauthorized purchases.

Thursday, September 3, 6:19 p.m.Arrest: Officers arrested a man on an active warrant at Green St. and Magazine St. Damien Davis, 30, of Medford, was charged with one warrant out of Dorchester District Court.

Thursday, September 3, 6:21 p.m.Package Theft: A package containing $75 in merchandise was stolen from the front of a Harvard St. residence.

Thursday, September 3, 6:37 p.m.Hit-and-Run, Property Damage: A vehicle was struck while parked on Alewife Brook Pkwy; the other driver fled the scene.

Thursday, September 3, 7:14 p.m.Arrest: A drug investigation in the Central Square area led to an arrest and a separate summons on Franklin St. and Pleasant St. Gary Greene, 65, of Somerville, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B narcotic. A Cambridge resident will be summonsed to court on a charge of narcotics possession in connection with the same investigation.

Thursday, September 3, 7:19 p.m.Arrest: Officers stopped a man for riding an electric scooter on the sidewalk in a business square near Massachusetts Ave. and Pearl St.; he became belligerent toward officers and bystanders. Jason Bailey, 47, of Boston, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Assault on a Police Officer, Assault to Intimidate, and Interfering with a Police Officer.

Thursday, September 3, 8:06 p.m.Shoplifting: A suspect stole $421.83 in merchandise from a White St. business and fled before officers arrived.

Thursday, September 3, 8:27 p.m.Assault with a Dangerous Weapon: An employee of a Massachusetts Ave. business reported being threatened by a known individual.

Thursday, September 3, 8:39 p.m.Hit-and-Run, Property Damage: A vehicle was struck while parked on White St.; the other driver fled the scene.

Thursday, September 3, 9:36 p.m.Larceny: A scooter valued at $50 was stolen from outside a business on Linnaean St.

Thursday, September 3, 10:09 p.m.Larceny: A bicycle and lock valued at $830 were stolen from a bike rack on Massachusetts Ave.
