The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Cambridge Police Department's official public log for the period September 1–3, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Tuesday, September 1, 7:49 a.m. — Criminal Harassment: A Coolidge Ave. resident reported receiving unwanted text messages from a former co-worker.
Tuesday, September 1, 8:05 a.m. — Vehicle Break-In: A vehicle parked on the 100 block of Ware St. was broken into; items valued at $100 were stolen.
Tuesday, September 1, 8:19 a.m. — Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon: A Somerville resident reported a past assault on Somerville Ave. near White St.; the victim, who was cycling, approached a driver to complain about their driving, and the driver pepper sprayed the cyclist during the resulting argument.
Tuesday, September 1, 8:47 a.m. — Arrest: A reporting person stated that Tyler Edwards-Paul instigated an argument and threatened the victim with a knife on Mt. Auburn St. Tyler Edwards-Paul, 21, of Randolph, was charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Disorderly Conduct.
Tuesday, September 1, 10:53 a.m. — Assault with a Dangerous Weapon: On Massachusetts Ave., a victim reported an unknown individual threatened them while brandishing a knife.
Tuesday, September 1, 1:18 p.m. — Vandalism/Attempted Larceny: On the 100 block of Pemberton St., an unknown suspect cut two bike locks and attempted to steal a bicycle.
Tuesday, September 1, 2:33 p.m. — Breaking and Entering: On the 100 block of Huron Ave., a victim reported an unknown person gained entry to their residence and left food products inside.
Tuesday, September 1, 2:41 p.m. — Larceny: An e-scooter valued at $299.99 was stolen from a parking garage on Ames St.
Tuesday, September 1, 3:54 p.m. — Fraud: A Harvard St. resident reported multiple unauthorized transactions totaling $162.88 charged to their debit card.
Tuesday, September 1, 4:36 p.m. — Hit and Run: On Mt. Auburn St., a vehicle was struck by another vehicle attempting to park; the striking vehicle fled. No injuries reported.
Tuesday, September 1, 5:04 p.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect stole $592 in merchandise from a CambridgeSide Place business and fled before officers arrived.
Tuesday, September 1, 5:42 p.m. — Larceny: A suitcase containing items valued at $3,000 was stolen from a front porch on the 100 block of Sixth St.
Tuesday, September 1, 5:52 p.m. — Stolen License Plate: A license plate was reported stolen on the 100 block of Richdale Ave.
Tuesday, September 1, 6:14 p.m. — Vehicle Break-In: A vehicle parked on the 100 block of Prescott St. was broken into; items valued at $5 were stolen.
Tuesday, September 1, 7:53 p.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect stole $170 in merchandise from an Alewife Brook Parkway business and fled before officers arrived.
Tuesday, September 1, 8:05 p.m. — Larceny: A bicycle and lock valued at $230 were stolen from a parking garage on Massachusetts Ave.
Wednesday, September 2, 3:56 a.m. — Attempted Motor Vehicle Break-In: On the 100 block of Tufts St., suspects attempted to break into a motor vehicle and fled upon officers' arrival.
Wednesday, September 2, 9:53 a.m. — Stolen Moped Recovered: A stolen moped was recovered on the 100 block of Tufts St.
Wednesday, September 2, 9:55 a.m. — Larceny: A bicycle valued at $350 was stolen from a bike rack outside a Mt. Auburn St. business.
Wednesday, September 2, 11:02 a.m. — Breaking and Entering: On the 100 block of Prescott St., an unknown individual gained access to a residence and stole $600 in items.
Wednesday, September 2, 11:17 a.m. — Arrest: Tyler Formyduval was reported to have punched parked vehicles, causing damage, then exposed himself and urinated in public view on Mt. Auburn St. Tyler Formyduval, 29, of Lowell, was charged with Vandalism and Open and Gross Lewdness.
Wednesday, September 2, 11:32 a.m. — Arrest: Nicholas Lopez, 28, of Revere, was arrested on a warrant out of Rhode Island, on Massachusetts Ave.
Wednesday, September 2, 12:17 p.m. — Fraud: A Brookline resident reported a lost wallet; credit and debit cards inside have since been used for unauthorized transactions at several Cambridge businesses near Kirkland St. and Oxford St.
Wednesday, September 2, 12:31 p.m. — Breaking and Entering/Larceny: An unknown suspect climbed a wall and fence to enter a Putnam Ave. business, destroyed a laptop inside, and fled with two others.
Wednesday, September 2, 3:32 p.m. — Criminal Harassment: On the 100 block of Massachusetts Ave., a resident reported that a neighbor screamed at them as they entered their building.
Wednesday, September 2, 3:40 p.m. — Hit and Run: On the 100 block of Fawcett St., a parked vehicle was struck and the striking vehicle fled, causing damage.
Wednesday, September 2, 4:04 p.m. — Arrest: Kevin Casado, 32, of Cambridge, was arrested on an active warrant out of New Bedford District Court, on Memorial Dr.
Wednesday, September 2, 4:34 p.m. — Larceny: A package containing $19 in merchandise was stolen from a mailroom on the 100 block of Russell St.
Wednesday, September 2, 4:49 p.m. — Hit and Run: On the 100 block of Eliot St., a parked vehicle was struck and the striking vehicle fled, causing damage.
Wednesday, September 2, 5:59–6:02 p.m. — Unattended Packages: Officers and the Explosive Ordnance Unit (EOD) responded to unattended packages near Green St. and Pleasant St. and near Bow St. and Plympton St.; both items were inspected and determined not to be hazardous.
Wednesday, September 2, 6:13 p.m. — Hit and Run: On the 100 block of Lopez Ave., a parked motorcycle was struck and the striking vehicle fled, causing damage.
Wednesday, September 2, 6:19 p.m. — Fraud: A North First St. resident reported their wallet was stolen and their bank card has since been used for multiple unauthorized transactions.
Wednesday, September 2, 7:23 p.m. — Hit and Run: Near Linnaean St. and Raymond St., a vehicle was struck in traffic and the striking vehicle fled. No injuries reported.
Wednesday, September 2, 8:29 p.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect attempted to steal merchandise from a Massachusetts Ave. business but was stopped by staff.
Wednesday, September 2, 10:00 p.m. — Scam: A Cambridge St. resident reported receiving a call from an individual posing as a law enforcement officer who attempted to extort $3,000 from them.
Wednesday, September 2, 10:47 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Summons: A Worcester resident and a Lawrence resident will each be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges related to unlicensed operation of an unregistered motor vehicle, following a traffic stop on the 100 block of Main St.
Thursday, September 3, 8:32 a.m. — Larceny: A Cambridge resident reported their ATM card was stolen inside a Massachusetts Ave. business; the report was filed near Green St.
Thursday, September 3, 11:25 a.m. — Traffic Summons: A Woburn resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of Unlicensed Operation of Motor Vehicle and Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian in a Crosswalk, following a traffic stop near Concord Ave. and Huron Ave.
Thursday, September 3, 11:26 a.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect stole $102.32 in merchandise from a River St. business and fled before officers arrived.
Thursday, September 3, 11:53 a.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect stole $40.47 in merchandise from a Massachusetts Ave. business; officers located the suspect and returned the items.
Thursday, September 3, 1:16 p.m. — Hit and Run with Injury: On Massachusetts Ave., a vehicle was struck in traffic; one person sustained non-life-threatening injuries and the striking vehicle fled.
Thursday, September 3, 1:21 p.m. — Arrests: Ali Barnes, 30, of Fitchburg, was arrested on a warrant out of Waltham District Court, on Pearl St. Bianca Rose Lavargna, 33, of Waltham, was arrested on three warrants out of Waltham District Court, also on Pearl St.
Thursday, September 3, 1:58 p.m. — Larceny: A package containing $200 in merchandise was stolen from the lobby of a Third St. residence.
Thursday, September 3, 2:52 p.m. — Aggravated Assault and Battery: On Massachusetts Ave., a pedestrian and a motorist got into an argument that turned physical. No injuries reported.
Thursday, September 3, 3:01 p.m. — Assault/Trespass: At a Massachusetts Ave. business, an individual yelled racial slurs at customers and threw a drink at an employee; the individual was identified and trespassed from the business.
Thursday, September 3, 3:20 p.m. — Unarmed Robbery: At a Brattle St. business, a suspect passed a note to an employee demanding cash, then fled.
Thursday, September 3, 3:35 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A crash on the 100 block of Harvard St. produced no injuries.
Thursday, September 3, 3:51 p.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect stole approximately $400 in merchandise from a White St. business and fled before officers arrived.
Thursday, September 3, 4:00 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Larceny: A Cambridge resident reported their parked motor vehicle stolen from the 100 block of Walden St.
Thursday, September 3, 4:24 p.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect stole $50 in merchandise from a White St. business and fled before officers arrived.
Thursday, September 3, 4:53 p.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect stole $97 in merchandise from a Massachusetts Ave. business and fled before officers arrived.
Thursday, September 3, 5:16 p.m. — Vandalism: On the 100 block of Hampshire St., an unknown individual damaged a vehicle's side window.
Thursday, September 3, 5:25 p.m. — Arrest: Brandon Moore was stopped in a traffic stop near Massachusetts Ave. and State St. and found to be operating a motor vehicle with a license suspended for Operating Under the Influence of Liquor (OUI). Brandon Moore, 43, of Dedham, was charged with Operating Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License for OUI.
Thursday, September 3, 6:04 p.m. — Identity Theft: A Ware St. resident reported their credit card was used for $410 in unauthorized purchases.
Thursday, September 3, 6:19 p.m. — Arrest: Damien Davis, 30, of Medford, was arrested on an active warrant out of Dorchester District Court, near Green St. and Magazine St.
Thursday, September 3, 6:21 p.m. — Larceny: A package containing $75 in merchandise was stolen from outside a Harvard St. residence.
Thursday, September 3, 6:37 p.m. — Hit and Run: On Alewife Brook Pkwy., a parked vehicle was struck and the striking vehicle fled, causing damage.
Thursday, September 3, 7:14 p.m. — Arrest: Following a drug investigation in Central Square near Franklin St. and Pleasant St., Gary Greene was arrested on charges related to possession with intent to distribute narcotics; a Cambridge resident will be separately summonsed to court on charges related to narcotics possession arising from the same investigation. Gary Greene, 65, of Somerville, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B narcotic.
Thursday, September 3, 7:19 p.m. — Arrest: Officers stopped Jason Bailey for riding an electric scooter on a sidewalk in a business square near Massachusetts Ave. and Pearl St.; Bailey then became belligerent toward officers and bystanders. Jason Bailey, 47, of Boston, was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Assault on a Police Officer, Assault to Intimidate, and Interfering with a Police Officer.
Thursday, September 3, 8:06 p.m. — Shoplifting: A suspect stole $421.83 in merchandise from a White St. business and fled before officers arrived.
Thursday, September 3, 8:27 p.m. — Assault with a Dangerous Weapon: On Massachusetts Ave., a business employee reported being threatened by a known individual.
Thursday, September 3, 8:39 p.m. — Hit and Run: On the 100 block of White St., a parked vehicle was struck and the striking vehicle fled, causing damage.
Thursday, September 3, 9:36 p.m. — Larceny: A scooter valued at $50 was stolen from outside a business on the 100 block of Linnaean St.
Thursday, September 3, 10:09 p.m. — Larceny: A bicycle and lock valued at $830 were stolen from a bike rack on the 100 block of Massachusetts Ave.
