Library launches first card design contest
The Cambridge Public Library is running its first library card design contest, open to anyone who lives, works or attends school in Cambridge, with entries due online by Nov. 15.
The Cambridge Public Library announced its first-ever library card design contest, inviting residents to submit artwork illustrating an adventure they have experienced through the library, such as a story they read, a skill they learned or a world they imagined.
Anyone who lives, works or attends school in Cambridge is eligible to enter. Original designs must be submitted online by Sunday, Nov. 15, at 11:59 p.m. All entrants must agree to a Creative Works Release and License, and a parent or guardian must provide consent for youth participants.
One adult winner and one youth winner will have their artwork featured on new, limited-edition library cards in 2027 and will receive a grand prize. Finalists' designs will also be displayed at the library and featured on its website and social media.
The contest is supported by the Friends of the Cambridge Public Library.
