Cambridge Youth Hockey opens 2026-2027 placement registration and flags a new statewide neck guard rule for young players.

CAMBRIDGE --

YOUTH LEAGUES

Cambridge Youth Hockey, home to the Falcons, is now enrolling players for the 2026-2027 winter season, with placement registration open on the organization's website. The league said it "provides a fun and inclusive introduction to the great sport of hockey for kids in Cambridge and our neighboring communities," with practices and games held at Simoni Skating Rink in East Cambridge.

The league is also alerting families to a new equipment requirement: "Starting August 1 Massachusetts youth hockey players are now required to wear neck guards in games and practices." The organization added, "Please come prepared."

Separately, Cambridge Youth Hockey thanked the East Cambridge Business Association for its continued sponsorship, saying the support "helps makes hockey affordable for all through financial aid & equipment."
