Cambridge Committee Sends City Manager Goals to Full Council for April 30 Vote

CAMBRIDGE — April 12, 2024 — Cambridge's Government Operations Committee reviewed City Manager Yi-An Huang's proposed 2024 annual performance goals and sent them back for revision before a full council vote targeted for April 30. Meeting Friday with six of nine councilors, the committee pushed Huang to consider dropping two carried-over "leadership" goals — universal pre-K and police reform — in favor of universal afterschool programming, with Vice Mayor Mike McGovern noting the prior council passed a unanimous nine-to-nothing policy order directing a three-year plan for afterschool.
