The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Cambridge Police Department's official public log for the period August 30 – September 1, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Sunday, August 30, 12:09 a.m. — Assault and Battery: A person reported being struck in the face while attempting to break up a fight on Brattle Street.
Sunday, August 30, 2:24 a.m. — Hit and Run: A parked vehicle on Main Street was struck, causing damage; the other driver fled the scene.
Sunday, August 30, 2:38 a.m. — Assault and Battery: A person on Third Street reported being physically assaulted by an unknown individual, sustaining a cut to the head; the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Sunday, August 30, 3:36 a.m. — Arrest: Officers investigating a crash at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Sixth Street arrested the vehicle's operator. Myles Fagan, 27, of Randolph, was charged with Operating Under the Influence of Liquor and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
Sunday, August 30, 8:53 a.m. — Larceny: A bicycle rear brake valued at $50 was reported stolen from the front of a residence on Cameron Avenue.
Sunday, August 30, 9:20 a.m. — Disturbance / Larceny: A disturbance at Massachusetts Avenue and Pleasant Street stemmed from one person accusing another of stealing a backpack; the property was recovered and returned to its owner.
Sunday, August 30, 9:55 a.m. — Larceny: A Fulkerson Street resident reported that several jewelry items and trinkets valued at $16,350 were stolen from their home.
Sunday, August 30, 10:34 a.m. — Larceny: An unattended backpack was reported stolen at a business on White Street.
Sunday, August 30, 11:06 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A crash was reported at Massachusetts Avenue and Rice Street; no injuries were reported.
Sunday, August 30, 11:18 a.m. — Hit and Run: A vehicle was struck in traffic at Bishop Allen Drive and Douglass Street; no injuries were reported.
Sunday, August 30, 12:04 p.m. — Cyclist Collision: A person was struck by a bicycle at CambridgeSide Place; minor injuries were reported.
Sunday, August 30, 12:30 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of a River Street business reported a suspect stole $40 of merchandise and fled before officers arrived.
Sunday, August 30, 12:36 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of a Massachusetts Avenue business reported a suspect stole $400 of merchandise and fled before officers arrived.
Sunday, August 30, 1:21 p.m. — Assault: A person on Massachusetts Avenue was reported to have threatened another during an argument.
Sunday, August 30, 2:12 p.m. — Summons: A Somerville resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle after License Suspension, uncovered during investigation of a crash on Blake Street.
Sunday, August 30, 3:39 p.m. — Arrest: A victim reported that their backpack, containing $1,800 of personal property, was stolen from inside a Porter Square business on White Street. Elton Randolph, 20, of Cambridge, was charged with Larceny Over $1,200.
Sunday, August 30, 3:54 p.m. — Unlicensed Dog Sale: Officers responded to an event at Pacific Street and Sidney Street for a report of an individual conducting an unlicensed sale of dogs.
Sunday, August 30, 4:35 p.m. — Disturbance: Police responded to Fairfield Street for a reported disturbance between a landlord and tenants.
Sunday, August 30, 6:15 p.m. — Arrest: Officers stopped a man at an event on Sidney Street after the Marlborough Police Department reported he was wanted in connection with an incident in that community; he was found to be in unlawful possession of a firearm. Kassan Germain, 35, of Dorchester, was charged with multiple counts related to unlawful possession of a firearm and resisting arrest.
Sunday, August 30, 6:43 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of a White Street business reported a suspect stole $700 of merchandise and fled before officers arrived.
Sunday, August 30, 6:50 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of a Massachusetts Avenue business reported a suspect stole $3 of merchandise and fled before officers arrived.
Sunday, August 30, 8:56 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Theft: A stolen motor vehicle was reported on Massachusetts Avenue.
Sunday, August 30, 9:39 p.m. — Indecent Exposure: A resident on Meacham Road reported an individual had urinated in their front yard.
Sunday, August 30, 9:44 p.m. — Criminal Harassment: A Cambridge resident reported being verbally threatened by a known person during an event on Sidney Street.
Monday, August 31, 7:36 a.m. — Vehicle Break-In: A Cambridge resident reported their vehicle, parked in front of their residence on Harvard Street, had been broken into; nothing is believed to have been stolen.
Monday, August 31, 7:56 a.m. — Summons: A Cambridge resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges of operating an Unregistered and Uninsured Motor Vehicle, uncovered during a traffic stop on Oxford Street.
Monday, August 31, 9:54 a.m. — Larceny: A New Street resident reported that an individual has been stealing scrap metals from air conditioning units at their property.
Monday, August 31, 10:06 a.m. — Suspicious Package (Mutual Aid): Cambridge officers provided mutual aid to Belmont Police for a suspicious package; an Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit determined the item contained fireworks, which were taken for safe disposal.
Monday, August 31, 11:38 a.m. — Crash / Injury: An e-scooter struck a stationary vehicle on Concord Avenue; the scooter operator was transported by EMS to a local hospital for evaluation.
Monday, August 31, 12:20 p.m. — Attempted Fraud: A Massachusetts Avenue resident reported receiving a call from an unknown individual impersonating a bank employee and soliciting money.
Monday, August 31, 12:46 p.m. — Hit and Run: A vehicle was struck in traffic at CambridgePark Drive and Steel Place; no injuries were reported.
Monday, August 31, 2:35 p.m. — Package Theft: A package containing $233 in merchandise was reported stolen from the front of a residence on Hardwick Street.
Monday, August 31, 2:51 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of a Main Street business reported a suspect stole $165 of merchandise and fled before officers arrived.
Monday, August 31, 4:17 p.m. — Summons: A Waltham resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, uncovered during a traffic stop at Massachusetts Avenue and Alewife Brook Parkway.
Monday, August 31, 4:26 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of an Alewife Brook Parkway business reported a suspect stole $284.92 of merchandise and fled before officers arrived.
Monday, August 31, 4:32 p.m. — Larceny: An unknown individual broke into a work locker at a Rindge Avenue location and stole approximately $8,000 in cash.
Monday, August 31, 4:33 p.m. — Summons: A Malden resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, uncovered during a traffic stop on Massachusetts Avenue.
Monday, August 31, 4:35 p.m. — Assault and Battery: A person reported that while attending an event the prior day on Sidney Street, a known individual threw a drink at them.
Monday, August 31, 4:54 p.m. — Larceny: An e-bicycle valued at $1,200 was reported stolen from a traffic post on Massachusetts Avenue near Plympton Street.
Monday, August 31, 6:10 p.m. — Hit and Run: A vehicle was struck in traffic at Cedar Street and Massachusetts Avenue; no injuries were reported.
Monday, August 31, 6:23 p.m. — Larceny: A bicycle valued at $600 was reported stolen from outside a residence on Essex Street.
Monday, August 31, 6:55 p.m. — Fraud / Major Larceny: A Cambridge resident reported being scammed out of more than $200,000 by individuals who called claiming to represent their bank.
Monday, August 31, 7:30 p.m. — Hit and Run: A vehicle was struck in traffic at Howard Street and Western Avenue; no injuries were reported.
Monday, August 31, 9:50 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of a White Street business reported a suspect stole $150 of merchandise and fled before officers arrived.
Monday, August 31, 10:38 p.m. — Crash / Cyclist Citation: A crash involving a cyclist was reported at Broadway and Galilei Way; the cyclist was cited for a red light violation and transported to a local hospital by EMS for evaluation.
Tuesday, September 1, 7:49 a.m. — Criminal Harassment: A Coolidge Avenue resident reported receiving unwanted text messages from a former co-worker.
Tuesday, September 1, 8:05 a.m. — Vehicle Break-In: A Cambridge resident reported their vehicle, parked at their residence on Ware Street, had been broken into; items valued at $100 were stolen.
Tuesday, September 1, 8:19 a.m. — Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon: A Somerville resident reported that while cycling on Somerville Avenue, they approached a driver to complain about the driver's conduct; during the ensuing argument, the driver pepper-sprayed the cyclist.
Tuesday, September 1, 8:47 a.m. — Arrest: A reporting person stated that a man instigated an argument and threatened the victim with a knife on Mt. Auburn Street. Tyler Edwards-Paul, 21, of Randolph, was charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Disorderly Conduct.
Tuesday, September 1, 10:53 a.m. — Assault with a Dangerous Weapon: A victim on Massachusetts Avenue reported that an unknown individual threatened them while brandishing a knife.
Tuesday, September 1, 1:18 p.m. — Vandalism / Attempted Larceny: An unknown suspect cut two bicycle locks and attempted to steal a bike at a Pemberton Street residence.
Tuesday, September 1, 2:33 p.m. — Breaking and Entering: A Huron Avenue resident reported that an unknown person gained entry to their residence and left food products inside.
Tuesday, September 1, 2:41 p.m. — Larceny: An e-scooter valued at $299.99 was reported stolen from a parking garage on Ames Street.
Tuesday, September 1, 3:54 p.m. — Credit Card Fraud: A Harvard Street resident reported unauthorized transactions totaling $162.88 on their debit card.
Tuesday, September 1, 4:36 p.m. — Hit and Run: A vehicle was struck by another vehicle attempting to park on Mt. Auburn Street; no injuries were reported.
Tuesday, September 1, 5:04 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of a CambridgeSide Place business reported a suspect stole $592 of merchandise and fled before officers arrived.
Tuesday, September 1, 5:42 p.m. — Larceny: A suitcase containing items valued at $3,000 was reported stolen from a front porch on Sixth Street.
Tuesday, September 1, 5:52 p.m. — Stolen License Plate: A stolen license plate was reported on Richdale Avenue.
Tuesday, September 1, 6:14 p.m. — Vehicle Break-In: A Cambridge resident reported their vehicle, parked in front of their residence on Prescott Street, had been broken into; items valued at $5 were stolen.
Tuesday, September 1, 7:53 p.m. — Shoplifting: An employee of an Alewife Brook Parkway business reported a suspect stole $170 of merchandise and fled before officers arrived.
Tuesday, September 1, 8:05 p.m. — Larceny: A Cambridge resident reported that their bicycle and lock, valued at $230, were stolen from a parking garage on Massachusetts Avenue.
