Cambridge Seeks Residents to Fill Three Board Vacancies
CAMBRIDGE — The city is recruiting residents to fill open seats on three panels, including the Planning Board, as officials look to round out oversight bodies this fall.

The City of Cambridge announced Thursday that it is seeking community members to fill vacancies on the Commission on Immigrant Rights and Citizenship, the Commission for Persons with Disabilities Advisory Board, and the Planning Board. The city did not specify a deadline to apply in the announcement.
City officials also reminded voters that Friday, Aug. 28, at noon is the last day to vote early in person ahead of the Sept. 1 state primary, part of a broader voter information push that also covers mail and Election Day options. Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and City Manager Yi-An Huang issued a statement addressing the fatal officer-involved shooting of a man in his 60s on Temple Street last Friday evening, a story the city's News Flash also covered today.
