Cambridge Enters Final Phase Of Broadway Safety Project
CAMBRIDGE — Cambridge has begun the final major construction phase of its Broadway Safety Improvement Project, bringing new visible street changes to the corridor between Lee and Quincy streets over the coming weeks.

The city says installation on the Broadway Safety Improvement Project moved into its last major 2026 phase starting August 10, with residents expected to see more changes on the street in the Lee Street to Quincy Street section in the weeks ahead. The News Flash post did not specify a completion date.
Separately, the city is recruiting residents to fill vacancies on three boards: the Commercial Parking Control Committee, the Commission on Immigrant Rights and Citizenship, and the Police Review and Advisory Board. The application deadline for each is August 21.
